Church picnic a true blessing

To the editor:

What a delicious picnic meal and wonderful concert we enjoyed last Friday evening. Thank you to the congregation of Calvary Baptist Church for their gift to the community. They provided a relaxing free social and wouldn't even accept donations to help cover the cost. It was a nice way to greet old friends and meet new ones.

The music by Danny Spearman was a testimony to his faith and an opportunity to renew our own. He talked about his faith and sang it out from the depths of his soul.

It's great to live in Oberlin where so many diverse communities of faith add so much to the quality of our lives.
