Police Blotter, April 27

4:28 p.m., April 2: Officers responded to the area of Allen Community Hospital for a female previously admitted for a mental health evaluation. She left the facility in only a hospital gown. The officers were unable to locate the female, but learned she was en route to the Toledo area with her boyfriend.

7:49 p.m., April 4: An officer responded to a report of an unruly juvenile. The matter was referred to the juvenile officer for review.

5:49 p.m., April 5: Officers responded to a Prospect Street residence for an unruly juvenile. The matter was referred to the juvenile officer to submit to the Lorain County juvenile court for charges related to the incident.

9:19 p.m., April 5: Officers responded to East College Street for a report of a missing juvenile. The juvenile was located, and the juvenile officer was advised. The matter is under investigation.

9:21 a.m., April 6: Officers responded to the 100 block of East Lorain Street for a domestic violence complaint. Joseph Wysocki, 42, of Lorain was charged with domestic violence and disrupting a public service. He was transported to the Lorain County jail.

2:10 p.m., April 6: An officer responded to a fraud complaint. The reporting person said a credit card had been used fraudulently.

7:20 p.m., April 6: Officers responded to Washington Circle for a disturbance complaint. The matter is under investigation.

12:21 p.m., April 7: Officers responded to a fight in progress in the 200 block of South Main Street. The subjects stopped fighting before officers arrived. Both parties were advised to avoid each other and any further contact would likely result in the arrest of one or both of them.

7:45 p.m., April 7: A disturbance call was received from the 400 block of West College Street. Officers responded and arrested Kevin Teppo, 32, of Oberlin for domestic violence. He was transported to the Lorain County jail without bond.

9:32 a.m., April 8: A subject contacted an officer about a fraud complaint. The matter is under investigation.

8:40 p.m., April 8: A 911 call reported a missing adult. The matter is under investigation.

2:38 a.m., April 9: An officer responded to a complaint of theft of property in the 200 block of West College Street.

6:03 a.m., April 9: Robin Jones, 45, of Oberlin was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, blood alcohol content over legal limit, driving under suspension, and failure to comply. He was held at the Oberlin police jail until his arraignment in Oberlin Municipal Court that same day.

4:52 p.m., April 10: A subject contacted an officer about a theft at the Oberlin Public Library. The subject later reported finding the item in the area where it was taken.

12:03 a.m., April 11: Elyria police informed dispatch they were holding Amber Cathey, 20, of Elyria on a bench warrant for contempt through Oberlin Municipal Court. An officer took custody and served Cathey with the warrant. She was transported to the Lorain County jail in lieu of $3,500 bond.

11:24 a.m., April 11: An officer responded to a theft complaint. Items were later recovered by a third party and returned to the owner. The matter is under investigation.

7:18 a.m., April 12: An officer responded to Washington Circle for a report of damage to a vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

8:47 a.m., April 13: An officer responded to Stevenson Hall for a complaint of unauthorized credit card charges.

7:16 p.m. April 13: As the result of a traffic stop, Rubio Candido Rivera, 42, of Oberlin was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving under an OVI suspension, and fictitious plates. He was released on $2,550 personal recognizance bond to a sober adult.

9:06 p.m., April 13: Officers responded to an assault complaint on Canterbury Circle. Leon Warner, 38, of Oberlin was arrested for assault and released on $1,000 bond. The next day the charge was amended to domestic violence, and Oberlin Municipal Court issued a warrant for Warner's arrest. Warner was later arrested and charged with domestic violence. He was transported to the Lorain County jail where he was held on $5,000 bond.

4:17 p.m., April 15: Drew Shanafelt, 22, of Avon Lake was served with a bench warrant for contempt through Oberlin Municipal Court. He was held on $5,000 bond.

12:24 p.m., April 16: An officer took a complaint of check fraud. The matter was referred to the detective bureau.

2:54 a.m., April 17: As the result of a traffic stop, Marvin Edwards, 41, of Oberlin was arrested on a warrant through the Elyria police department and cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, blood alcohol test refusal, and driving under a license forfeiture suspension. He was transported to the Lorain County jail in lieu of $3,000 bond. His passenger, Julie Seamon, 41, of Oberlin was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
