Fifth-graders in Whitney Albrecht’s class at Prospect Elementary School got a closer look Thursday at owls and other birds native to Ohio. Carlisle Reservation Metro Park senior naturalist Mary Ewers talked to students about the different types of raptors in our area and the difference in their hunting habits, what they eat, and even their feathers. The students were able to feel the wings of an owl and the talons of an eagle and owl.
