• Dec. 4 at 2:40 p.m.: A package containing a hoodie was reported stolen from a woman’s house on South Pleasant Street.

• Dec. 5 at 12:19 p.m.: A pair of boots worth $70 were taken Dec. 3 from the Shoe Department. A report said a customer paid for the boots and decided to look at other shoes before leaving. She left the boots on the counter and another customer reportedly took the books and fled the area.

• Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.: Darnetta Hood, 43, of Oberlin, was charged with misuse of a credit card and receiving stolen property. A woman contacted police about fraudulent charges on her debit card, which she believes she lost at the Oberlin Inn. Hood told police she found the card at the inn under a pool table and she could not read the name because it was faded. She told police she takes full responsibility for her actions, a report said.

• Dec. 7 at 1:20 p.m.: Matthew Valerino, 34, of Oberlin, was charged with theft of a $14.90 magazine at Wal-Mart.

• Dec. 8 at 4:29 p.m.: Joshua Manning, 27, of Oberlin, was arrested on an active bench warrant for contempt of court through the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office.

• Dec. 9 at 1:49 a.m.: Ashley Zimmerman, 29, of Oberlin, was charged with possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia. A report said police initiated a traffic stop after noticing a headlight out on Zimmerman’s car. They could smell marijuana inside the vehicle. She gave police one grinder with a small amount of suspected marijuana in it, a report said.

• Dec. 9 at 9:30 a.m.: A woman contacted police after finding a man looking through her windows. She told officers she was getting changed in her bathroom when she saw the man standing in the front yard near a tree; when he was spotted the man put his hood up and ran to his car. The vehicle was identified as a small black Ford and the suspect was described as six feet tall and wearing a light blue hoodie, light colored sweatpants, with short hair and a fit build.

• Dec. 9 at 8:37 p.m.: A man reported a package stolen from his home on Edgemeer Place containing an electric blanket worth $140.

• Dec. 9 at 8:27 p.m.: A laptop worth $1,600 was reported stolen from Oberlin College’s Mudd Library.

• Dec. 11 at 1:13 a.m.: Lauren Holt, 22, of Amherst, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving in marked lanes. A report said police received a complaint about a reckless driver and officers saw Holt drive over the lane markers on the road multiple times. Police observed Holt’s speech to be slurred and an odor of alcohol was coming from her. A report said Holt nearly fell over while standing outside her vehicle and would not follow directions when police conducted a field sobriety test.
