An electrical outage reported at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday caused the Mudd Center, Oberlin College’s main library, to close early due to a lack of power. The outage was due to a Denes Concrete worker hitting a high voltage line to the library at 148 West College St., according to a fire report. No one was injured in the incident. Denes workers were doing curb and sidewalk repairs by the library. The center, which opened in 1974, is named after philanthropist Seeley Mudd.
