The sidewalks were filled Saturday by artists diligently working to turn downtown into a giant tapestry. The Oberlin Chalk Walk drew thousands to enjoy both professional renderings and impressive amateur ones as well. Some of our favorites from our stretch of South Main alone include dragons, a griffin, a blazing phoenix, cartoon kittens, Pokemon, international flags, and self-portraits. Sunday night’s showers washed some of the color away, but the chalk is likely to make town colorful for a while longer.
