Smoke causes McDonald’s evacuation

Jason Hawk | Oberlin News-Tribune

Workers evacuated McDonald’s on South Main Street around 8:15 a.m. Monday. Firefighters responded to a complaint that smoke was showing from a possible electrical fire in the roof. They vented the building and workers were able to return about 30 minutes later. A manager said no one was hurt but could not comment further. The restaurant reopened around 9:30 a.m.
