Toddlers lives in jeopardy after West Road pool incident

Two toddlers were rushed to the hospital Wednesday morning after falling into an above-ground swimming pool on West Road.

Wellington firefighters and emergency medics responded just after 10 a.m. to 17853 West Rd., Pittsfield Township, next to the Caley Reservation Metro Park.

Dispatchers said the two children were in full arrest. Wellington assistant fire chief Bill Brown confirmed they were unresponsive when pulled from the waters but were still alive when taken to Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin.
