Cadets and seniors members of the Lorain County Composite Squadron of the Ohio Wing of the Civil Air Patrol took part this past weekend in an annual emergency training bivouac at the Lorain County Regional Airport in New Russia Township. Training included a simulated search and rescue exercise and flight line marshalling, which is directing an aircraft on the ramp. Lt. Col. John Porter said about 15 to 20 members in the Lorain County squadron are from Oberlin, Amherst, and Wellington. Some people from a unit in Painsville, Ohio, participated in the three-day event for the first time this year.
