Oberlin firefighters responded to a two-car crash around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Oberlin and Russia roads. Austin Kramer of Norwalk was traveling south on Oberlin Road in a truck and trailer and failed to yield at a stop sign, striking Debra Sobotka of Elyria, who was traveling west on Russia Road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Kramer hit Sobotka’s blue Chevrolet on the back, passenger side, sending the car into a ditch on the southwest side of the road. The OSHP said Sobotka suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin.
