Student-athletes from Oberlin, Wellington, and Amherst joined other area participants at Elyria’s Ely Stadium May 12 for the 37th annual Lorain County Special Olympics. Events included track and field, a softball throw, and long jump. Organizers said 590 athletes from 17 school districts took part.
