Oberlin to celebrate Make Music Day

The longest day of sunshine of the year — June 21, the summer solstice and official first day of summer — is celebrated in more than 700 cities around the world as Make Music Day.

It’s a time devoted to the enjoyment and creation of music. Credo Music of Oberlin is sponsoring events in Lorain and Cuyahoga counties under the umbrella banner “Make Music Cleveland.”

Oberlin musicians and citizens are joining in a big way with events all over town, including Tappan Square, Kendal at Oberlin, the corner of Main and College streets, Ben Franklin, The Woodshed, Slow Train Cafe, and Oberlin Conservatory.

For complete listings, to volunteer, or participate, visit www.makemusicday.org/cleveland or call Credo Music at 440-774-3658.
