POLICE REPORTS


• July 28 at 1:30 p.m.: Two televisions and an Xbox were reported stolen from a South Park Street home.

• July 29 at 9:40 a.m.: Police responded to a criminal mischief complaint at Ace Hardware on South Main Street. A report said six juveniles were seen on video camera at the rear of the store. Damage included a paint spill and a pile of burned paper.

• July 30 at 10 p.m.: A woman’s purse was reported stolen from her home on Shipherd Circle.

• July 31 at 1:05 p.m.: Four items worth $430 were stolen from a car on Union Street. A report said the vehicle was left unlocked overnight and one of the items was found in a bush.

• Aug. 1 at 1:38 a.m.: Andrew Gutierrez, 27, of Oberlin, was charged with driving under suspension, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and had warrants through Elyria Municipal Court, Oberlin Municipal Court, Berea Municipal Court, and North Ridgeville police.

• Aug. 2 at 8:47 a.m.: Police responded to vehicle damage complaint at Wal-Mart. A juvenile told officers that someone ran him off the road but officers wrote that the evidence at the scene did not match the boy’s claims. A report said surveillance footage shows the juvenile speeding into the Wal-Mart parking lot and losing control of the vehicle, striking a curve. The case is being forward to the Lorain County Juvenile Court for charges.

• Aug. 2 at 2:20 p.m.: Sean Cain, 32, of Oberlin, and a juvenile were charged with domestic violence. A report said Cain was yelling at the juvenile, grabbed her, and hit her, and the juvenile pulled a knife on Cain.

• Aug. 4 at 3:05 p.m.: Jack Redell, 22, of Oberlin, was charged with theft from Wal-Mart.

• Aug. 5 at 11:30 a.m.: Copper pipe was reported stolen from a home on Morgan Street.

• Aug. 6 at 10:50 a.m.: A $500 bicycle was stolen from a woman’s garage on North Professor Street.

• Aug. 6 at 3:15 p.m.: Officers responded to a burglary complaint at a West Hamilton Street home. A report said an iPod, three handguns, a shoulder holster for a gun, a pocket watch, a pair of speakers, and a box of 500 rounds of ammunition was stolen.

• Aug. 7 at 11:01 p.m.: A laptop was stolen from a home on Groveland Street.
