5:50 p.m., Oct. 23: An officer initiated a traffic stop and found the drive, Orlando Ramos, 50, of Lorain, was driving under suspension. His passenger, Brian Wade, 51, of Oberlin, was wanted on a warrant for contempt through the Lorain County sheriff's office. Both were transported to the Lorain County jail.
2 a.m., Oct. 24: The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported a red sedan westbound on Rt. 20 driving recklessly at a high rate of speed and asked for Oberlin police to assist. An officer at the intersection of Rt. 58 and Rt. 20 saw the car and began pursuit. He finally stopped the car west of Quarry Road. Michael Woljevach, 44, of Wakeman, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, blood alcohol content test refusal, possession of drugs, and possession of criminal tools. He was transported to the Lorain County jail in lieu of $3,250 cash bond.
5:45 p.m., Oct. 26: An officer took a report of possible child abuse. The matter was referred to the juvenile division and Lorain County Children's Services.
7:03 a.m., Oct. 27: A 911 call reported a domestic incident on Lincoln Street. Officers responded and arrested Sarah Warner, 24 of Oberlin for domestic violence, and Damiaus Kirk, 23, of Oberlin, for domestic violence and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
9:42 p.m., Oct. 30: Possible "road rage" was reported in the West Alley. An officer spoke with the parties involved and determined it was only a verbal incident. One of the parties, Stephan White, 31, of Norwalk, was arrested on a warrant through the Elyria police department. He was later turned over to an Elyria police officer.
Oct. 31: An officer arrested Kay Cherney, 60, of Oberlin on a contempt warrant on an original charge of theft through the Lorain County sheriff's office. She was transported to the Lorain County jail.
2:12 p.m., Oct. 30: Oberlin Municipal Court reported Keith Wiley, 21, of Oberlin, was seated in their lobby. Officers took him into custody on a warrant for contempt through the Lorain County sheriff's office. He was released to a Lorain County sheriff's deputy.
3:15 a.m., Nov. 1: A subject reported the theft of a wallet and cell phone while attending a party in the 100 block of South Main Street.
4 p.m., Nov. 2: The owner of the Mandarin Restaurant reported a customer failed to pay for a meal.
5:57 p.m., Nov. 2: A woman reported an ordered item had been delivered but was stolen from her doorstep.
6:15 p.m., Nov. 2: Underage consumption was reported in the 200 block of North Main Street. Jack Bailey, 37, of Oberlin, denied ever having contact with the juvenile. Upon further investigation, Bailey was charged with obstructing official business. The matter is under investigation by the juvenile division.
5:22 p.m., Nov. 3: A woman was reported yelling in the area of Main and College streets. Officers located the woman, who said she was yelling because her 12-year-old daughter had not come home from school The juvenile was later located.
9:15 a.m., Nov. 4: A resident of the 100 block of South Main Street reported an aggravated burglary. The subject said someone had entered the apartment through a locked door and items were taken.
5:24 p.m., Nov. 4: An officer took custody of Joshua T. Reynolds, 23, of Lorain, on a bench warrant through Oberlin Municipal Court for contempt on an original charge of driving under suspension. He was held at the Lorain County jail in lieu of $3,500 bond.
12:05 a.m., Nov. 5: As the result of a traffic stop, Jonathan Schaum was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and blood alcohol content over legal limits, and his license was put under administrative suspension. He was released to a competent adult.
4:15 p.m., Nov. 6: A woman reported her wallet was stolen at the Oberlin Bookstore.
4:46 p.m., Nov. 6: An officer responded to the Lorain County jail to serve a warrant on Lisa Garn, 42, of Elyria, from Oberlin Municipal Court for contempt on an original charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
2:55 a.m., Nov. 7: Oberlin College Safety & Security reported they were detaining a man found rummaging through vehicles in the Union Street parking lot. Jeffrey Enlow, 18, of Oberlin, was cited for underage consumption of alcohol and vehicle trespass. OCS&S also issued him a trespass letter, prohibiting him from entering college property. He was released to a sober adult.
3:18 a.m., Nov. 8: A resident of East Lorain Street reported someone had knocked on her door, then ran. Dispatch relayed information from the original caller of people wearing white running through her neighbors' back yards. An officer at Eastwood Elementary School heard dogs barking, located, and detained two juveniles and a woman who refused to identify herself. The woman, later identified as Jennifer Francisco, continued to be disorderly and uncooperative through the booking process. She was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication and persisting, and obstructing official business. She was released on $1,000 cash bond.
9:32 a.m., Nov. 8: A Berger Court parent called 911 for a domestic violence complaint. Officers responded and transported a juvenile to the Lorain County Detention Home. The matter was referred to the Lorain County Juvenile Court and the juvenile officer.
11:27 a.m., Nov. 8: An officer took a theft complaint.
2:13 p.m., Nov. 10: A woman flagged down the community services officer and reported her daughter had been assaulted by a male. After an investigation, Michael Hinton, 22, of Oberlin, was located and arrested for assault and aggravated trespassing. He was transported to the Lorain County jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bond.
5:45 p.m., Nov. 11: An officer took a theft complaint. A subject was caught stealing a bicycle from Clark Court.
