With the wintery weather upon us be sure to check the school's website for closings or delays. Go to oberlin.k12.oh.us, weather information will be on the first page.
All Oberlin city schools will be closed Monday, Jan. 18 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Eastwood: The first principal's coffee of 2010 is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 14 at 9 a.m. As always, this is free and open to any interested parties. The combined Eastwood/Prospect PTO will meet Thursday evening from 7- 8 p.m. at Prospect, childcare is provided.
Prospect: Principal Eibel puts together a monthly newsletter, Prospect Perspectives. If you don't get a copy it is available online on Prospect's webpage.
Langston: The second semester is rapidly coming to a close. Encourage your student to make sure all assignments are completed and turned in on time. If you have not done so already, now is a good time to use Edline, the online grade book. This is available for all students. Go to the school's website to check it out.
Sporting Life: The LMS girls basketball team will be in tournament play today, Jan. 12 at Clearview. A win brings us home for Wednesday's game starting at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16 the LMS boys wrestling team will host the LMS Invitational starting at 9 a.m.
OHS: The senior class is working on raising money to help with expenses for their senior trip. Snowy weather provides a perfect opportunity to do some shoveling. If you would like some help with the snow and want to help the senior class contact Alyssa Garcia 452-8775. Shoveling will continue as long as the snow does. The class of 2010 thanks you.
Sporting Life: OHS boys basketball hosts Clearview tonight and the girls team hosts Black River, Wednesday. JV games start at 6 p.m. with varsity following at 7:30 p.m. OHS boys wrestling is off this week.
