Congratulations to the Langston seventh grade girls basketball team for winning the Patriot League Championship after defeating Clearview. Kudos also go out to the Academic Challenge team that went 6-0 this fall and became the Erie Shores Champions.
* Eastwood: Friday, Jan. 22 marks the midpoint of the second trimester for Eastwood. It is never too early to be an active part of your student's education. If you have questions or concerns contact your teacher to schedule a conference.
* Prospect: Wednesday, Jan. 20, 9:30-10:30 a.m. is the first principal's coffee for 2010. If you have never attended, this is a wonderful chance to have casual conversation with the principal and other parents. As always this is free and open to all.
* Langston: Thursday, Jan. 21 is Step-Up Day at Langston. The fifth grade from Prospect will be coming to see Langston and get a taste of next year while the eighth grade class goes to OHS for a day of high school.
Sporting Life: LMS boys basketball will host Clearview this afternoon starting at 4:30 p.m. Team pictures for LMS boys basketball and wrestling will be 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26.
* OHS: This is exam week at OHS. The exam schedule is online and students are required to be at school during their assigned exam periods.
Sporting Life: Girls basketball will host Wellington, Wednesday, Jan. 20. Boys basketball will take to the court against Black River at home Friday, Jan. 22. JV games begin at 6 p.m. with varsity games starting at 7:30 p.m. Wrestling is on the road this week.
* All Oberlin City Schools will be closed, Friday, Jan. 22.
