The Lady Falcons flew past the Wellington Dukes Wednesday with a 20-point win.
Firelands held their opponents to only four points in the first quarter as they jumped to a 14-4 lead, but in the second quarter the teams matched each other shot for shot, making it 23-13 at halftime.
The Falcons defense continued to force turnovers and stop the Dukes from finishing their shots, holding them to five points at the start of the second half.
The girls added 17 points in the final quarter to take a 50-30 win.
Tori Grasso and Kayla Unger led the way for their team combining for 25 points. Firelands’ Dalaney Rogala and Keely Hall also added on 18 more points to secure their team the win.
Firelands improved to 5-1 in the Patriot Athletic Conference and 5-3 on the season.
