Freshman Victoria Jackson sank a half court shot before halftime Saturday in a Patriot Athletic Conference game against the Keystone Wildcats. The freshman led the team with 11 points and had the tough task of marking the Wildcats’ offensive threat, senior McKenah Peters, who hit three treys in a row to start the game and finished with 27 points, leading Keystone to a 68-16 victory. The Phoenix girls struggled to get their offense started as the Wildcats extended their lead to 50-13 by halftime. Oberlin picked up the tempo in the second half and moved the ball much better but could not get shots to fall. The Phoenix will travel to Firelands on Saturday to take on the Falcons in a Patriot Athletic Conference game.
