Jordan Kolarik has been hired to lead the Falcons varsity volleyball team this fall.

A social studies teacher for the Firelands Schools, Kolarik was the eighth grade volleyball coach and led the South Amherst Middle School team to a 15-2 record.

Prior to Firelands, she was at Maple Heights High School for four years where she taught social studies and coached junior varsity volleyball. Kolarik was part of one of the most illustrious programs in Cleveland, with 20 sectional championships and eight consecutive league victories.

Since 2012, she has been a head coach at Academy Volleyball Cleveland, which is ranked first in Ohio and 16th nationwide. This year her 17 Elite team finished eighth in the Ohio Valley Region.

“Jordan is a coach that has a lot to offer our volleyball program. Her work ethic and attention to detail are two of the qualities that will pay huge dividends for her throughout her career,” said Firelands athletic director Ty Stillman.
