Training on “digital dangers” was given in August to Lorain County JVS staff.
The workshop was funded by a grant from the Lorain County prosecutor’s office.
“I believe funding a program such as ‘Digital Dangers’ helps keep our county’s educators informed of the technological advancements that can pose challenges to the youth in our community, including issues like cyber-bullying,” said county prosecutor Dennis Will.
Three assistant prosecuting attornies also attended the seminar. “They came back with positive feedback about the information presented and they plan on sharing that information with fellow assistant prosecutors and members of local law enforcement agencies,” said Will.
The seminar was presented by Don Stanko, a veteran police officer from Franklin County, and Ohio State University professor Tim Conrad.
