• Oct. 1 at 2:35 p.m.: A woman contacted police in regard to $5,525.19 charged to her credit card in New York without her consent.

• Oct. 1 at 4:50 p.m.: Oberlin College security contacted police after finding a small glass pipe with burnt marijuana residue.

• Oct. 1 at 6:57 p.m.: Police responded to a theft complaint of copper from a home on East Lorain Street. A report said copper piping was missing in the basement, upstairs living room, and multiple bathroom fixtures.

• Oct. 3 at 5 p.m.: A woman contacted police after a rear rubber mat was allegedly taken from her vehicle’s rear bumper at Wal-Mart.

• Oct. 5 at 8:37 p.m.: Oberlin College security found a small pill bottle containing marijuana, a silver grinder with marijuana residue, a small bag containing marijuana, and a glass pipe with burnt marijuana residue. The items were given to the police department.

• Oct. 7 at 6:07 am.: Two purses, $120, a wallet with an Ohio driver license, insurance care, two credit cards, a debt card, a $50 gift card, checks, eyeglasses worth $200, a $100 heart necklace, set of car keys, headphones, and keys to Lorain Community Elementary School were taken from a woman’s house on Washington Circle.

• Oct. 7 at 7:11 p.m.: William Sipos, 30, of Wellington, was charged with theft of two makeup items worth $25.50 from Wal-Mart.

• Oct. 8 at 5:21 a.m.: Police searched for three individuals pushing an allegedly stolen shopping cart from Wal-Mart with groceries on West Vine Street. A report said a man and woman were found in Wright Park and admitted to taking the shopping cart and identified the third man who ran. Wal-Mart has not yet decided whether to pursue charges.
