• Oct. 9 at 1:48 a.m.: Police took custody of three grinders, a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana, several burnt marijuana cigarettes, a glass pipe with burnt marijuana, and a tube of infused honey. The items were found by Oberlin College security.

• Oct. 9 at 4:31 p.m.: A man contacted police after being bitten and knocked over by a dog on Locust Street while he was delivering pizza.

• Oct. 10 at 8:55 a.m.: Casey Gannon, 33, of Sullivan, was charged with marijuana paraphernalia and driving under suspension. A report said Gannon had a non-compliance license suspension through Ashland Municipal Court and when police were checking the vehicle an officer found a small plastic container with suspected marijuana in the center console of the car.

• Oct. 10 at 5:40 p.m.: Danielle O’Neal, 30, of Oberlin, was charged with theft of $18.97 worth of items from Wal-Mart.

• Oct. 11 at 10:42 a.m.: A woman contacted police after her daughter did not return home. A report said the girl was supposed to be at a friend’s house and her mother could not reach her. Police found the juvenile and her friend in Elyria.

• Oct. 12 at 9:51 a.m.: Oberlin College security contacted police after discovering a broken basement window on South Professor Street. A report said no items of value were taken from the building.

• Oct. 12 at 5:08 p.m.: Mark Meier, 18, of Elyria, and Jordan Roig, 21, of Elyria, were charged with theft of $22.88 worth of items from Wal-Mart.

• Oct. 12 at 6:25 p.m.: Nathan Strawderman, 40, of Elyria, was charged with theft of $174.66 worth of DVDs from Wal-Mart.

• Oct. 13 at 8:15 p.m.: A woman contacted police after discovering her 13-year-old niece sent five naked pictures of herself to a classmate. A report said an officer met with the woman and juvenile to talk about the pictures when a struggle broke out between the two in the girl’s bedroom and the juvenile was kicking and hitting the woman.

The woman told police the juvenile has been disrespectful, kicking, hitting, and biting her at least two times a week for the past two years. The juvenile was transferred to the Turning Point.

• Oct. 14 at 5:47 a.m.: A 2010 Honda was reportedly stolen from a woman’s house on Groveland Street.

• Oct. 14 at 2:30 p.m.: Copper pipes were taken from a house on Grafton Street. A report said there were no signs of forced entry because an outside door was left unlocked. The case is under investigation.

• Oct. 15 at 6:12 p.m.: Carter Smith, 19, of Wellington, was charged with theft from Wal-Mart.

• Oct. 15 at 8 p.m.: An Oberlin College student reported $200 worth of cash stolen from her dorm room on Elm Street.

• Oct. 16 at 7:15 a.m.: Oberlin College security contacted police after finding a glass pipe with residue.
