Jeni Hoover, director of the Kendal Early Learning Center, recently graduated from the Signature Leadership Program, a 10-month leadership class that focuses on developing leadership skills and promoting teamwork and networking.

Class members also explore economic and business development, social justice, health care, government and politics, education, recreation and entertainment, and board training in Lorain County.

They took part in service projects aimed at solving community problems or contributing to the community infrastructure.

Hoover helped organize a 5K race to benefit the Lorain County Free Clinic. The race was held May 9 at Lorain County Community College and raised about $4,000.
