The Oberlin board of education has set its meeting times and dates for the year. The meetings are held at 6 p.m. at Pleasant Street Schools, 218 North Pleasant St. with a few exceptions:

• Feb. 23
• March 16
• April 26
• May 24
• June 28
• July 26
• Aug. 23
• Sept. 27
• Oct. 25
• Nov. 15
• Dec. 13
Most meetings are on the fourth Tuesday of each month with the exception of the March date, which falls on a Wednesday due to the election; the November date, which is on the third Tuesday of the month; and the December meeting, on the second Tuesday of the month.
The February meeting will be held at Langston Middle School, March at Eastwood Elementary School, April at Oberlin High School, and May at Prospect Elementary School.
The board also scheduled three special sessions and a board retreat:
• Tuesday, April 12 at 6 p.m.: The board will give an update on plans to construct a preschool-through-fifth grade building.
• Tuesday, May 10 at 6 p.m.: Educators will talk about testing in the schools and how much testing is being conducted.
• Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m.: The board will give another presentation on the preschool-through-fifth grade building.
• Thursday, July 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: The board will hold a retreat.
