Barry Richard and Ken Stanley were sworn in Tuesday to their first meeting of their new three-year term. Their seats on Oberlin board of education were up for grabs this past November but neither was contested.

Not so in the Firelands Schools, where Tom Meyers won a seat this fall. He was sworn in Monday at the Firelands board’s first meeting of 2016. Michael O’Keefe was reelected to his chair on the board.

Ben Gibson was chosen to serve as president of the board of education and O’Keefe was selected as vice president.
