POLICE REPORTS


• Feb. 16 at 5:07 p.m.: Jimmie Stephens, 47, of Clarksfield, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a driving under suspension charge.

• Feb. 16 at 8:30 p.m.: The owner of the Black River Cafe told police he terminated an employee suspected of writing checks to himself and cashing them from the restaurant’s account.

• Feb. 17 at 1:50 p.m.: A stolen iPod was reported by a public school basketball player. It was allegedly taken while away at a game in Columbia Station.

• Feb. 17 at 2:53 p.m.: A woman reported unauthorized checks amounting to $400 were drawn from her bank account.

• Feb. 20 at 12:30 a.m.: Three glass pipes with suspected marijuana residue were turned over to police by Oberlin College security.

• Feb. 20 at 2:51 a.m.: James Gilliam Jr., 60, of Oberlin, was charged with domestic violence, a third degree felony due to previous convictions.

• Feb. 21 at 3:45 a.m.: A large glass bong, a black grinding device, and a cup with seeds and a small baggy of suspected marijuana were turned over to police by Oberlin College security.

• Feb. 21 at 1:28 p.m.: Madison Spengenberg, 19, of Wellington, was taken into custody on a warrant for failure to appear for pretrial on an original charge of theft.
