• Feb. 29 at 2:35 p.m.: A counterfeit $20 was found by the owner of the Black River Cafe. It was sent to the U.S. Secret Service office in Cleveland.

• March 1 at 5:48 p.m.: A 17-year-old girl told police that her 19-year-old ex-boyfriend has been threatening to harm her and others close to her. She fears he will drive by her home and “shoot the house up.” Copies of text messages have been forwarded to the county prosecutor.

• March 2 at 8:51 a.m.: Henry Bent, 34, of Oberlin, was charged with domestic violence. His girlfriend told police she tried to keep him from taking her anxiety medication and money and that he physically restrained her and threatened to choke her until she passed out.

• March 2 at 4:38 p.m.: Barbara Henderson, 35, of Oberlin, was arrested on two warrants, one a felony through the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office and the other through Wakeman police, both for contempt of court on original charges of theft and possession of drug instruments.

• March 3 at 6:14 p.m.: After a foot chase through the woods outside Wal-Mart, Nicholas Dial, 23, of Vermilion, was captured and charged with theft and obstructing official business. He is accused of stealing merchandise worth $274.29.
