POLICE REPORTS


• March 12 at 11:53 p.m.: Alvin Wynn, 51, of Oberlin, was charged with driving under suspension. He was also arrested on outstanding warrants for contempt of court through the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office for child support and for failure to appear in court on a suspension offense through the Cleveland Heights police department. Officers said Wynn started yelling profanities at them during his arrest.

• March 14 at 6:05 p.m.: Raymond Adkins, 24, of Vermilion, was charged with theft. He is accused of attempting to steal a tent and beer from Wal-Mart.

• March 15 at 1:15 p.m.: A man attempted to kill himself by hanging at the Johnson House, Oberlin College. He was resuscitated by EMS workers and flown to Akron General Hospital.

• March 15 at 8:22 p.m.: Six glass pipes, a grinder, a mason jar with plant material, and a hookah were turned over to police by Oberlin College security.

• March 16 at 7:30 p.m.: Two metal grinders and two glass pipes with suspected marijuana were turned over to police by Oberlin College security.

• March 18 at 6:46 a.m.: Kevin Gembka, 23, of Elyria, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

• March 19 at 1 p.m.: Ricky Lane, 24, of Oberlin, was charged with domestic violence.

• March 19 at 7:51 p.m.: More than $300 in Girl Scout cookie sale proceeds was reported missing.

• March 20 at 6:23 p.m.: A bong and a bag of lavender-smelling substance was turned over to police by Oberlin College security.
