• Aug. 23 at 2:52 p.m.: Michael Reaser, 29, was charged with criminal damaging. A police report said he appeared to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol as he tried to leave Mercy Allen Hospital with his mother following a crash earlier in the day. Officers said he hit a car in the parking lot with his hand.

• Aug. 24 at 4:01 p.m.: Police were called to Nascorp on East Lorain Street to help deter a suspect who was allegedly harassing an employee.

• Aug. 25 at 7:04 p.m.: A cell phone was reported stolen during a volleyball practice at Langston Middle School.

• Aug. 26 at 3:15 p.m.: Robert Coop was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court. He was taken into custody when police were called to investigate a man inside an abandoned Lincoln Street house.

• Aug. 27 at 2 p.m.: Jatobia Thompson was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in Oberlin Municipal Court for an intervention program.

• Aug. 28 at 9:23 p.m.: A woman was found hanging by a rope at an East Lorain Street home and was taken to Mercy Allen Hospital. Her boyfriend told police they had been arguing the day prior and she assaulted him. They had been heavily drinking, smoking marijuana, and she had used crack cocaine.

• Aug. 28 at 11:08 p.m.: Caleb Cooper was charged with assault after a “bare knuckle brawl with a friend” at a Groveland Street apartment, according to a police report. The fight allegedly started over a back door that was left open.

• Aug. 30 at 10:22 a.m.: A woman told police someone opened a Chase Bank account in her name.
