POLICE REPORTS


• Sept. 13 at 2:30 p.m.: Two children, ages two and four, were found outside a Locust Street residence. Their mother later went to the police station to pick them up and said the children went outside while she was napping at their home on South Park Street. The matter was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for consideration of a child endangerment charge.

• Sept. 14 at 5:35 p.m.: A large bong and a grinding device were turned over to police by Oberlin College security.

• Sept. 14 at 8:30 p.m.: A bag of suspected marijuana and a grinder were turned over to police by Oberlin College security.

• Sept. 16 at 9:57 p.m.: Minniebell Yates, 35, of New London, was charged with theft. Mark Eschen, 28, of Kipton, was charged with theft and criminal damaging. They are accused of shoplifting from Wal-Mart.

• Sept. 16 at 9:50 p.m.: Derrick Thompson, 42, of Oberlin, was arrested on a warrant through the Elyria police department.
