POLICE REPORTS


• Nov. 22 at 11:16 p.m.: Police responded to a fight on Groveland Street. A man told officers a woman had another man in a neck hold and he hit the man because he had too much liquor and was out of hand. A report said the man who was hit had blood on his face, neck, arms, hands, and clothing. The victim told police he had broken teeth and thought his nose was broken too.

• Nov. 23 at 10:33 a.m.: Scott Gaborko, 34, of Collins, was arrested on an outstanding warrant through the Vermilion police department.

• Nov. 23 at 5:08 p.m.: A green and black book bag containing a laptop and other valuables was reported stolen at Mandarin.

• Nov. 23 at 11:21 p.m.: A woman overdosed on heroin on South Cedar Street. A report said the woman was blue, unconscious, and barely breathing when responders arrived. The woman received CPR and responders administered naloxone, which helped her regain consciousness. Officers confiscated the needle the woman used, which still had liquid inside it. She was transported to Mercy Allen Hospital.

• Nov. 25 at 11:30 a.m.: A $5,565 red and black carbon fiber mountain bike was reported stolen from behind a store on South Main Street.

• Nov. 25 at 3:50 p.m.: A man reported his black bag containing his wallet and other valuables was taken from Oberlin College’s Philips Gym. A report said an employee found the bag near a stairwell and the only item missing was a $600 iPhone.

• Nov. 27 at 12:06 a.m.: Officers responded to a person allegedly slashing tires and threatening a woman with a knife at the intersection of Rt. 58 and US 20. A woman told police her boyfriend slashed her tires and she did not want to pursue the matter.

• Nov. 27 at 5:26 p.m.: Mykal Isom, 24, of Oberlin, was arrested on an active warrant for contempt of court for child support.

• Nov. 28 at 7:45 p.m.: Tammie Thacker, 52, of Oberlin, was charged with theft of multiple items worth $130.90 from Wal-Mart.
