To the editor:
I believe that the supporters of President Donald Trump will regret their support of Trump’s recent proposed $54 billion increase in military spending, including increases in the number of nuclear weapons, while simultaneously slashing the State Department budget.
This will occur when their brothers, sisters, husbands, or wives are killed, disabled, or deranged in a senseless war that no one wanted, but the U.S. government is unable to prevent because only military solutions were available, and the competent diplomatic personnel to stop the war no longer exist.
