Seniors Lauren Garcia and Rhiannon McKee led the Lady Phoenix in an 8-0 win Monday over the Shaw Cardinals.

Garcia started the scoring frenzy for Oberlin after finishing a shot to put her team on the scoreboard. She finished two goals.

The Lady Phoenix scored two more goals and Maya Peters finished a free kick from 25 yards out to put Oberlin ahead 4-0 at halftime.

Oberlin focused on moving the ball around, playing sound defense, and communicating in the second half to seal the win and improve to 3-6 on the season.

The girls dropped an 8-0 loss Saturday to the Brookside Cardinals but Garcia and goalkeeper Kenzy Tallman led the Lady Phoenix last Thursday in an 8-0 win over Lorain.

Garcia scored two goals and had three assists against the Titans and Tallman earned her first shutout win of the season.

Arianna Ambrosio, Bailey Wilbanks, Cora Spurlock, Hallie Kenney, Kaylee Martinez, and McKee each scored a goal.

The Lady Phoenix will host the Columbia Raiders at 1 p.m. Saturday.
