The Phoenix baseball team was victorious last Tuesday on Senior Night against the Brookside Cardinals, 6-4.
Brookside scored two runs in the top of the second inning to take the lead but Oberlin answered back in the third to tie the game at two apiece.
The Phoenix offense took off in the fifth inning, bringing home four runs to take a 6-3 lead over the Cardinals.
Freshman Jackson Schaum was perfect at the plate. He went three-for-three and earned a double. Seniors CJ Ramsey and Jonathon Rosa combined for three RBIs.
Senior pitcher Quinn Berndobler only gave up one hit in the final three innings and struck out four batters.
The boys’ win against the Cardinals allowed them to finish 2-14 in the Patriot Athletic Conference.
