Nearly 30 Phoenix football players turned out Monday for the second day of practice for the 2015 season. The defensive and offensive linemen worked on proper formations and techniques, wide receivers worked on improving their routes, and defensive backs focused on shutting down the pass by the quarterback.

The boys will have a tri-scrimmage at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14 at Bay Village against Lakewood and Bay. The Phoenix are expected to have a second scrimmage against Sandusky St. Mary’s later this month. The time and date for the scrimmage have not yet been determined.
